I liked the premise of it- I do feel it was a little too in your face with the storyline and relation to real life events (based on internet challenges) it could have been more subtle for sure. The acting honestly was quite good! The scripting also didn't make me massively cringe in anyway, all in all I think it was a good pass of time, I wouldn't watch it again but definitely don't regret the time watching it. It wasn't actually scary (at least not to me) but I think could be a good one for non horror fans wanting an innocent scare. Really it's a good idea, fairly decent story as long as you aren't opposed to new gen horror with technology as a major factor. But grimcutty, oh my jeez. I wish they had animated it to look more like the preview picture they showed, cause woof is it not scary in the slightest. I gotta give it some credit though because they really capture how anyone under the age of 18 is basically not seen as a person. No one believes you, no one listens, and sometimes being overly protective is what kids need protecting from. As I said I wasn't scared by the big bad of the movie, but I almost had a heart attack in some of the moments with the dad, very scary dude, and good acting on his part. All in all, a good horror movie to watch once, get some mild entertainment, and move on.
