Filmmaking this perversely amoral is never going to be a crowdpleaser, and early responses have been aggressively divided, but I Care a Lot isn't out to be liked: like the best con artists, it gets you caught up in its strut.

Paul G Easily one of the worst movies I have ever seen. One note characters, over the top storyline, over simplification of a real life issue. Do yourself a favor. Skip it! Rated 1/5 Stars • Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/21/24 Full Review Me A The movie starts off really well for about the first hour, then tanks in the middle (unrealistic survivals, misdirected anger from the main character, etc), but for me the very last scene made it redeemable. Definitely an interesting movie, definitely morally dissatisfying until the very end. I understand that not all movies need to have a moral, but this one definitely needed something. The premise was good, the plot was excellent, the execution was okay, but I will say that the very end of the movie gave me some degree of satisfaction. I will say that Rosamund Pike did an excellent job as usual, although the script was less than stellar... She does such a great job at making you absolutely abhor her in the movie.
