Depois do sucesso que o personagem teve em Invocação do Mal 2, é claro que seria feito um filme sobre ele. A mesma coisa já havia acontecido com a boneca Annabelle. Porém aqui, é apenas pretexto para uma série de jumping scares. Não há uma história, nem desenvolvimento de personagens. Apenas a preparação para o susto. Reconheço que Valak na sua forma de freira já entrou para o mundo pop e do terror. Mas não graças a esse filme.
